Vintage DBX Modules - VCA and Detectors

The DBX units listed below are used, and look to be in good condition
In ALL cases the DBX Modules should be considered 'Vintage" since by now some are over 35 years old.

 


Note there are MANY slightly different versions of the early DBX VCAs
There are the 200 VCA, the 210 VCA (all with 4 transistor Gain Cells)
and the famous 202 VCA (in various versions) with a 8 transistor Gain Cell

Note:     ALL DBX units are sold 'As-Is' and are UNTESTED.
They came out of working DBX Noise Reduction units a few years ago...
but have NOT been tested recently.


DBX 202x VCA's
Original Black Faced modules - Second Generation - DBX Part #: 260061

DBX 207 Detectors

DBX xx Card - has one 202x VCA and one 207 Detector module in each card
Original Black Faced VCA and Dector modules - Second Generation - DBX Part #: 260064 -05
Cost Per Unit:   $ 65.00

 

 

  The DBX 202x and the DBX 202c VCAs are similar in performance
and are identical in pin out configurations.
The main differences between the 202x and 202c are in the Input and Output impedances
(the 202x has a much lower impedance)
There are other minor differences as well.


SILVER FACED DBX VCA

Used early DBX Silver Can VCA Module.
No visable DBX part Number on case or internal card
and has what I believe is a 4 transistor Gain Cell
so it is likely a 200 version VCA or may be the DBX 210 VCA

These are USED units taken out of working DBX units a few years ago
They have NOT been re-tested and are sold strictly 'As-Is' with NO Returns !!!
