These are all NEW 'OLD STOCK' parts.
Most are in very short supply. Most are unavailable anywhere else. Yes they are expensive....
Once my stock of these IC's is gone, I do not expect to be able to get any more EVER again.
Note that I'm selling these in small quantities - mainly so you or your tech can repair your own cards
if you don't want to send them in to us for repairs.
Why are these IC's so expensive? Because there are none for sale anywhere else I've looked...
so I can't buy more when my small supply runs out ---
and these are the LAST IC's I have that I will sell as parts... the rest I will save for my own repair work.
Also note that since you can easily damage an IC... put it in backwards... break off a pin, etc...
these ICs may NOT be returned for any reason.

The MC 800 series ICs are 'Normal Temp' while the MC 900 series ICs are 'High Temp' chips -
either can be substuted for the other in Ampex Tape Recorders.... MC846 = MC 946 and so on...
NOTE: When you replace ANY IC, install a high-quality IC socket in the board...
that way you can swap ICs easily in the future!
