Classic Original VINTAGE AMPEX "Top-Hat" type Reel Holders
These slip onto your reel spindle after you've put the tape reel on,
and lock the reel to the machine by putting pressure onto the reel via
locking the unit to the spindle. For AMPEX, MCI and Scully recorders.
NOT recommended for the Ampex ATR 100 series machines

These you lock onto your machine's spindle and then you
'Twist to align the 'nubs', slip your tape onto the machine,
then twist the holder to lock the tape reel firmly onto the machine.
